About Newbridge School

We are a split site special school academy catering for children and young people between the ages of two and nineteen years who have a complex learning difficulty, often accompanied by additional special educational needs, which may include;
  • Physical disabilities
  • Sensory impairments
  • Autism
  • Associated behaviour
  • Medical needs
We are part of the Astrum Multi Academy Trust with two school sites, which are within one mile of each
Lower School is for pupils in Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Upper School for students in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and 16-19.
Pupils transfer from Lower School to Upper School at the end of Key Stage 2 and are supported to do this through a well-planned transition programme.
We hope you enjoy looking at the website, please feel free to contact us if you would like to find out more about our work or request paper copies of some of the information.

The PFA have been successful in their application to Variety Coaches for a sunshine minibus!

The mini bus will be allocated to Hatchside School and will enable the pupils to experience a wide variety of activities and outdoor trips which would not otherwise be possible.  This is the first minibus for Hatchside school and was part paid by funds from the PFA.  We are grateful for the PFA members hard work in the fundraising they do to benefit the pupils at our schools.  As a parent or staff member of any Astrum School, you automatically are a member of the PFA, if you would like to get involved in activities and fundraising for the schools get in touch with them at Newbridgepfa@gmail.com
